Saturday, July 21st 7:00 - 8:15 am - Inspirational Prayer Breakfast (Optional) Steve Pratt - will lead this optional prayer breakfast. Steve is a Constitutional scholar and a wonderful speaker. He was enthusiastically received at last year's conference and invited to return again this year by popular demand. 8:30 - 9:30 am - Session 9 - Washington Watch Judith McGeary - will update the status of the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) and Bert Smith will introduce the first people in the nation to be removed from the NAIS premises database, Calvin and Carol Whittaker from Idaho. 9:30 - 10:00 am - Freedom21 Federal Credit Union Annual Meeting This will be the first ever annual meeting of the new Freedom21 Federal Credit Union. Meet the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Committee, and the staff. We will elect new Board members for the coming year. Each member of the credit union gets one vote. If you have not yet joined the Freedom21 FCU, call 731-625-2121, or visit the website. 10:00 - 10:30 - Break 10:30 am - Noon - How to Fight Back at the Local Level! Dan and Margaret Byfield - will conduct this segment and share what they have learned, what they are doing, and what you can do to help stop this transformation of America. Margaret Byfield - founder of Steward of the Range will moderate this intense seminare that teaches how to fight back at the local level. Fred Kelly Grant - is one of the nation's leading organizers, and has conducted many seminars on how to organize your community to achieve victory. This may be the most important session of the entire conference. Creating Coordination Plans to stop the NAU One of the most effective tools being used at the local level to stop anti-private property agendas and give people meaningful input into the direction of their community are "ccoordination plans." Fred Kelly Grant, President of Stewards of the Range, is the pioneer of this strategy, and he will teach attendees how to use these plans to fight the NAFTA Superhighway and other damaging agendas. Coordination plans give local citizens the nexus they need to stop federal, state and local policies and laws that conflict with their communities priorities. By using a little known provision existent in almost every federal land use statute and most planning and zoning laws, agencies are required to coordinate their policies with the local authority, but only if the local authority has properly implemented a coordination plan. Coordination plans are developed by local individuals and adopted by a local authority. When in place, a coordination plan has two major requirements: federal agencies must coordinate their land use policies with the local authority, including giving them written notice of their plans prior to any public notice or involvement; and, the agencies' policies must be consistent with the local plan.
